Sustainability Standards

Safety is evolving, so is UL. The UL Global Network, which now features ECOLOGO Certification and GREENGUARD Certification, offers the most complete line of environmental standards and services backed by over a century of science, trust and integrity. See below for links to our ever-growing network.

Standards for Sustainability through UL Environment

UL Environment develops environmental and sustainability standards for a wide range of building products, consumer products and organizations. Standards for Sustainability are created through a collaborative process that takes a holistic approach to standards development. Standards Technical Panels (STPs) help in the development and review of UL's Standards for Sustainability. An STP is a balanced group representing a cross-section of the stakeholders affected by a product's manufacture, sale and use. Current versions of the requirements are available to the public (along with test protocols) through comm-2000.com. For more on the UL's Standards for Sustainability, visit UL Environment Standards.
